Connecticut staff members who are responsible for the operation and success
of UConn Early College Experience.

Jill Thorne is the Executive Director of the Office of Educational
Partnerships (OEP) and the Director of UConn Early College Experience. Jill has championed
the role of concurrent enrollment programs as part of the
future of education in the United States. A participant
in the Connecticut High School Advisory Committee, Jill
has flagged Early College Experience as a forward-looking
program promoting seamless K-16 education in the state.
Dr. Thorne received her doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction
from UConn in 1993 and has an extensive career in K-12 education,
including tenures as a teacher, principal, assessor, and curriculum
consultant. Jill received her Bachelor's Degree from Occidental
College in California, and Master' Degree from the University
of Pennsylvania.

Brian Boecherer is the Associate Director of UConn Early
College Experience. His responsiblities include program
expansion and improvement, technology advancement, and providing
the on-site outreach to the high schools. Additionally Brian
is the Webmaster for the UConn ECE site and serves as the
tech liaison for the office. His background includes six
years of experience with the Early College Experience Office
and two years with the German Academic Exchange Service
(DAAD) in Toronto, Canada. Brian received his Bachelor's
Degree from the University of Connecticut (German Studies,
and an Individualized Major: International Relations of
Russia and East Europe). He received his Master's Degree
from the University of Toronto where he specialized in policy
analysis and nationalism from the Centre for Russian and
East European Studies. He is currently a member of the Doctoral
Program at UConn in the Department of Political Science.

Jennifer Griffin is the Marketing and Communications Manager
for the Office of Educational Partnerships. Her primary
responsibilities include managing the instructor certification
process for UConn Early College Experience, coordinating
UConn ECE workshops and events on campus, and creating program
marketing materials. Jennifer has worked in education for
over ten years, which includes her work at Harvard Business School and Marianapolis
Preparatory School. Jennifer obtained her B.A. in English
from the University of Connecticut and is currently part
of UConn's MBA program with a focus in Management.

Erin Blanchette is the Business Manager for the Office
of Educational Partnerships. Erin manages the student registration
and billing process for UConn Early College Experience and assists
the Director as an administrative assistant. Erin brings
valuable administrative experience to the UConn ECE program office and has
an Accounting degree from Three Rivers Community College. Erin is currently part of UConn's College of Continuing Studies where she is working toward her B.A. in Organizational & Management Studies.
