Frederick Turner

Frederick Turner, Ph.D. is a professor emeritus in the Political Science Department at UConn and teaches political science and sociology at Bulkeley High School in Hartford. A specialist in the areas of Mexican and South American democratization, Dr. Turner has many publications in both English and Spanish. and tenures teaching at Harvard, Yale, University of Connecticut, and Universidad de San Andres.

POLS 121 - Introduction to Comparative Politics

  • Either semester. Three credits.
  • A survey of institutions, politics, and ideologies in democratic and non-democratic states.

POLS 132 - Introduction to International Relations

  • Either semester. Three credits.
  • The nature and problems of international politics.

POLS 173 - Introduction to American Political Processes

  • Either semester. Three credits.
  • Analysis of the organization and operation of the American political system.

All applicants must include a copy of the course syllabus with their application. Without a syllabus instructors cannot be certified.
